Our Story

Taylor Made Jewelry officially incorporated February 15th, 1991 but it actually began in the basement of owner Jim Taylor’s home in 1987. Jim is an award-winning artist who specializes in custom designs, repairs, and providing a full-service jewelry experience.

Taylor Made Jewelry has become one of the most respected names in jewelry in the Akron area. This is evident by the many years of being voted the #1 Jeweler in Akron by the people of Akron and Canton in publications including the Beacon’s Best, Akron/Canton Hotlist and the Akron Life Magazine.

Taylor’s name may be on the front of the building, but the entire dedicated team is the reason Taylor Made Jewelry has been the first name in jewelry since 1991.

Jim Taylor, owner of Taylor Made Jewelry, grew up in Tallmadge, Ohio and is a national award-winning artist. In 1983 after attending Kent State he began his career for one of the largest jewelry companies in the country. Jim began designing jewelry in his home in 1987. In February of 1991, as his design business grew, Taylor Made Jewelry was established and we’ve been providing custom designs, sought after designers, repairs and exceptional service ever since.
